Why the EAs are free, and what that costs you.
There is no price on a Quietbar licence. It is tied to a trading account you open through us at Ferncastle Markets, and the broker pays us a commission on the volume you trade. This page explains how that works and the conflict it creates.

Read the broker's own terms, costs and risk disclosures in full before opening an account. You can use any broker you like; the EAs are only licensed on accounts opened through us.
Four steps, one account number
Open an account through our link
The broker records Quietbar as your introducing broker. An existing account at Ferncastle Markets can be moved under us only if the broker agrees.
Request a licence with your account number
We check with the broker that the account is tagged to us, within x working days.
Receive a key bound to that account
One live account and up to x demo accounts on the same server. The key works for all three EAs.
Move it if you change account
Up to x moves a year to another account opened through us. Just ask.
An EA that trades more costs you more and pays us more.
Quietbar Systems is an introducing broker for Ferncastle Markets (fictional broker). The broker pays us a commission for each lot traded on accounts opened through our links. Our EAs place those trades. So the more often an EA trades, the more you pay in spread and commission, and the more we earn, whether the trades win or lose.
That gives us a reason to build EAs that trade too often. We would rather say so than pretend the licence is a gift.
What we do about it
- Defaults are set from test results. Nobody at Quietbar has a volume target, and nobody's pay depends on volume.
- Every product page and every result prints trades per month beside it.
- Every release states whether it makes an EA trade more, less or the same, before you install it.
- Every EA has a hard cap on trades per session or open positions, and the cap cannot be raised beyond its range.
- No grid, martingale, scalping or recovery modes: the designs that generate the most volume.
- No minimum volume. A licence on an account that never trades stays valid.
Free to licence is not free to run.
Every trade the EA opens is charged the broker's normal costs. These are the costs you pay, and they are where our commission comes from.
| Cost | Per lot | Who receives it |
|---|---|---|
| Spread | $x.xx | The broker |
| Commission | $x.xx | The broker |
| Of which paid to Quietbar | $x.xx | Quietbar, from the broker |
| Swap, per night held | ±$x.xx | The broker |
Licence request
Your account number is the only thing we need to issue a key. We never ask for your trading password.
